(1) I am 25 years old today. Have I picked the right goal? Time alone will reveal the answer. But for now, I want to share how I choose my goals.
(2) I have observed many perspectives—from neuroscientist Andrew Huberman to psychologist Jordan Peterson—on how to set goals and how to achieve them.
(3) We all know the Bhagavad Gita speaks extensively about goals—how to work with the right attitude, how to overcome desires, and how to accomplish our aims with detachment.
(4) Yet, the crucial question remains: How do we pick the right goal? This is where I feel the Gita falls short. It doesn’t guide us on how to choose a goal. Its teachings begin after a goal is chosen, emphasizing action over inaction.
(5) So, what is my approach to picking the right goal? Before answering that, we must ask: What exactly is the right goal?
(6) The right goal is a deeply personal and relative concept—unique, unquantifiable, and different for each individual.
(7) For me, the right goal is not to merely experience life but to seek—to look beyond distractions and chase the essence of truth.
(8) At 25, my goal is to seek all the answers I am looking for through my actions—my job, my blog, and my content creation—and to connect spiritually with the universe to know who I am in the purest form.
(9) This means stripping away illusions, detaching from transient emotions, and seeking the foundational truths that define my being.
(10) Why is this important to me? I joined a new company on May 14th. Despite having multiple offers with higher pay, I
chose this one. Why? Because right now, I seek learning and curiosity which is why even though i am from c++ , java
android[aosp] stack i positioned my self in ADAS domain ( just curious ) .
(11) Fast-forward two years—I want to be more curious, more energized, and learning faster and deeper than I am today.
(12) Let me offer an example. In Kannada cinema, the legendary actor Dr. Rajkumar pursued a divine connection through his art. His quest for truth was expressed through service and deep devotion to his craft.
(13) One more example: Warren Buffett. In his documentary, I noticed how his desire for wealth wasn’t about hoarding—it was rooted in a longing to give back and help humanity.
Similarly, Bill Gates infused his success with a deep sense of responsibility and spiritual awareness.
(14) For an actor, it may be easier to understand suffering—they take on roles of pain and explore those emotions. That itself becomes a journey into truth.
(15) But here I am—an engineer at 25—still learning how the world works. Let’s say I aim for more money. Then in two years, I should be able to earn more in less time—with clarity, purpose, and spiritual alignment.
(16) Every decision I make must contribute to my spiritual growth and help me answer the question: Why am I the way I am?
(17) My profession and every piece of work I do must serve as a step toward knowing who I am in the purest form.
(18) To support this, I have chosen two parallel paths:
– Writing a blog
– Creating spiritual content
(19) Why spiritual content? Because every word I write is a reflection of my inner journey—a way to clarify emotions and translate experience into understanding.
(20) Why blogging? Because by documenting each thought, I hope to reach the purest form of that thought. It’s about refining insight through reflection.
(21) That is all. My desires are simple:
– Deepen my blogging
– Expand my spiritual content
– Stay consistent at work
– Cultivate energy and insight
(22) These steps are enough to bring me closer to my goal. I don’t need grand declarations—just a deeper alignment with my truth.
(23) So, what is the framework to pick the right goal?
a. Clearly define what you want. For me, it’s aligning every action with spiritual growth.
b. Ensure your goal is within your current reach—build your staircase step by step.
c. Strive only for what truly resonates with your inner being.
(24) And so, my final thought is this:
25-year-old me should not be the same as 65-year-old me—in any dimension of life—when seen through the lens of spiritual growth and discovering his purest form.
